The more I thought about it the more angry I became so I went home and found my Visa card statement that showed I did pay my tab. The bartender would not serve me because of this. I'm not saying this couldn't happen, and as soon as I was told this I gave the Manager $100.00 and a sincere apology. Last night I was told by the management of this bar that I would not be served by the bartender because I walked out on a tab on my previous visit. We put in a couple extra bucks just so we could get out of there before the weekend ended.Īs one of our party members commented, put in the review, "Seamus is closer." I guess that was his definition of an apology. He said, well, the computer put it in as $9.25. He came back with a menu with the "7" scribbled over with a "9" on a menu and said, it's actually $9.25. We told him that our $20 should have more than covered two boxty's at $7.25 each. He left and came back 15 minutes later to ask, what did you want? Really, it took him 14.5 minutes to figure out he didn't know what he didn't know? Then he came back and said we owed him more than the cash amount we gave him. But then we get the check and ask to pay for it separately. I like minimal service actually (and I'm chinese so I dont' expect good service anyways). I'm not really picky when it comes to service. Ok, why the bad review? Our waiter was at best indifferent and probably best described as having the "amazing" ability to combine incompetence with attitude. I tasted the corn beef and cabbage and it was pretty good. Mine was a little too rich in flavor and fat for me but it wasn't bad.
I ordered the chichen and mushroom boxty and other coworkers ordered the corn beef and cabbage boxty. The place had a nice ambiance and a nice mix of booths, regular tables, and high top tables. My coworkers and I went there for our weekly friday lunch.
